Meet your trainer

Hey, I'm Anna and I'm going to help you say "good boy" more than you thought possible

My work focuses on practical training that protects your relationship with your dog, while solving the behaviors that make daily life harder. No harsh tools. No dominance myths. Just clear, science-based guidance that works in real life.

How my story of working with dogs began

Like many trainers in this field, I didn’t start here because everything with my own dog was easy. I started here because I realized how much traditional training advice ignores what dogs are actually experiencing.

Tools that promise quick control. Dominance theories that frame behavior as a power struggle. Training that focuses on stopping behavior instead of understanding it. But dogs aren’t trying to win anything. They’re responding to their environment, their past experiences, and what they’ve learned so far.

Once you start looking at behavior that way, the path forward becomes much clearer. That realization is what led me to this work: helping people build better lives with their dogs without relying on force or fear.

My own dog, Floki, teached me to actually listen

Floki came to me with a reputation. Reactive, unpredictable, “too much” for most people to handle. I believed I could fix that, and for a while, I managed it. There’s a difference.

It took a while to admit that managing a dog and understanding a dog aren’t the same thing. Floki didn’t need more corrections. He needed someone to figure out what he was afraid of, and why, and a reason to believe things could be different.

That process changed how I train. I stopped looking for faster ways to get compliance and started asking better questions. What is this dog trying to tell me? What would make this feel safer for him? What does he actually need to be able to do what I’m asking?

Now I help other dog owners ask those same questions, so their “difficult” dog gets the same chance Floki did.

A better way to train your dog

My work is guided by a few core principles. My approach may not promise overnight transformation, but it leads to change that actually lasts and makes your bond stronger.

Behavior is communication

Dogs aren’t trying to be difficult. Behavior tells us something about what they’re experiencing.

Learning happens when dogs feel safe

When pressure and fear are removed, dogs can process new information and develop skills.

Progress takes clarity and consistency

Small changes done well and consistently over time create lasting results.

Kind words from owners:

Meet the crew

These are the animals who taught me everything I know, patience, persistence, and the fact that every “problem” behaviour has a reason behind it. A few of them came with their own struggles too, and watching them grow made me even more sure of the approach I use with your dog today.
